Church Stretton

Set in the South Shropshire Hills, Church Stretton is a historic market town of character. Church Stretton, together with the neighbouring villages of All Stretton and Little Stretton, offer a good range of amenities surrounded by fine countryside.

Located on the A49 Shrewsbury to Hereford road, Church Stretton is within commuting distance of Telford New Town and approximately ninety minutes' travelling time from Birmingham. Church Stretton has mainline railway connections to Birmingham, Manchester, and South Wales.

Church Stretton has much to offer for all age groups. There are primary and secondary schools providing education to GCSE level. Sixth form colleges are available in Shrewsbury (12 miles distant) and Ludlow (15 miles distant).

Medical services include a health centre, two dental practices, and day care for the elderly is available at the Mayfair Centre.

The town boasts a modern supermarket, together with a good range of shops and professional services. Leisure facilities include a golf course, a bowling green, public swimming baths, and a variety of restaurants, cafes, pubs, hotels and guest houses.
